More pictures from the Amalfi Coast - Positano

I wanted to share more pictures from our trip to the Amalfi Coast.  It was a trip to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary.  Pat & I met at work 19 years ago in Erie PA.  We've moved together to facilities in NY, TN, and now to Russia.  And we have somehow managed to both continue working for the same company, which is really rare these days.  When I stop & think about it, it's hard to believe that 2 kids from Western PA have been able to travel the world & see so much.

We love Italy, but hadn't traveled south of Rome & knew we wanted to see the Italian Riviera.  We decided to stay in Positano, along the southern side of the peninsula and visit the other towns by boat.

As I mentioned before, we stayed at the Il San Pietro di Positano.  It's built right into the hill, and was around 4 km from the town.

Check out Pat's new shoes!

Sipping one of my favorite Italian aperitifs, the Aperol Spritz

I really loved the beautiful gardens and landscaping at the hotel.  There were flowers everywhere!

This path took us down to the beach, and past all of the vegetable & herb gardens

A typical foggy morning.  By 11:00, it was sunny and 95

Italian black bumblebees!

Small lizards everywhere

Every day, we cooled off in the Mediterranean.

A really hot kitty

One morning, we took a boat cruise around the area.  I thought this hotel looked really cool.  The lower half looks like it was originally a monastery, and that cave towards the top is amazing

One of the things that I love about Italy is that you can see crosses and other religious memorials almost anywhere.  This cross was on the hill right above our hotel

I think the stone building on the right is an old lighthouse of sorts

More to come........
